I am becoming so independent these days. This morning at about 6am I decided that I was ready to get rid of my ventilator. I pulled my vent tube out and they put me on Nasal CPAP again. I've done quite well all day with my oxygen and my C02s have looked great. They put off my weighing to make sure I didn't get aggravated. Mom and Dad think that me being able to stay off my ventilator would be the BEST Christmas present ever. I asked Santa to help me out with that when he came to visit me in the NICU. He held me and we had our picture taken together. Mom and Dad stayed with me until almost 11:45 p.m. tonight. They think I'm pretty special and couldn't think of anything they would rather be doing then spending Christmas Eve with their little "tough" guy.
