(991 grams or 2 lbs. 3 oz.)
Hey, it was an uneventful day, but I'm not complaining. My feedings are still on hold, as I had a little too much green bile come back up. (I know its normal, but eeew.) They're still playing with my levels, trying to perfect my blood gasses. I did get a bit squirmy this morning, I was just a little uncomfortable. You see, premature babies, like me, can develop a long, narrow shaped head, sometimes called "toaster-head." It happens when our heads are faced to one side or the other for long periods of time without any rotation. So, nowadays, they make sure to rotate my head so that I don't develop any flat spots. (my skull is still soft, you know.) My least favorite position is flat on my back, facing straight up. I hate it, so I squirm and squirm, and they'll usually give me a little sedation. That's what happened today. After a couple of hours, they'll flip me over on my tummy, which is my favorite, and I get some healthy, natural sleep. Hey wait, now that I think about it, "toaster-head" is probably not a medical term, Dad heard it from a nurse and thought it was kinda funny.
