(1,499 grams or 3 lbs. 4.9 oz.)
Well, so far so good! I'm still initiating all of my breathing and I must say, doing a great job of it! Mom said that if I extibate myself, (if I accidentally remove my ventilator tube,) they're not going to replace it. They'll put me on the CPAP! Mom and Dad are pretty excited. Dad held me for almost an hour today before his arm fell asleep. When I'd get a bit fussy, he'd sing bizarre songs like "Greatest American Hero" with the Seinfeld lyrics. (you know, George's answering machine: "Believe it or not! George isn't at home, please leave a message at the beep! I must be out, or I'd pick up the phone! Where could I be? Believe it or not, I'm not home" and "Eye of the Tiger." I wasn't crazy about the first one, but I liked "Eye of the Tiger," I kept trying to open my eyes to look at Dad. (he's nuts) Over the last week, they've upped my feeding of Mom's milk from 2 cc's to 15 cc's! They've adjusted for my size and I'm doing great. I've had a little bit come back, (called "residuals") now and then, but again, so far so good!
