(1,231 grams or 2 lbs. 11.4 oz.)
I was a little bloated today and my weight gain may be a bit excessive, they're going to keep an eye on it. My blood culture came back positive and they're continuing my antibiotics. They're not sure what kind of blood infection I have, they only know that I have one. The good news is that they caught it early. After the infection recedes, they'll start the medication for my PDA. When Mom and Dad left, I had just received my suppository and they'd just flipped me over to my other side. I haven't had any more episodes of Apnea (stopping breathing) or Bradycardia (heart rate slowing, usually associated with Apnea,) like yesterday. My heart rate and oxygen needs are still stable, and I'm handling my feedings great. Mom and Dad are glad they caught my infection early, but now they're worried about my weight gain. They've been told not to worry about it yet, we'll just have to "weight" and see. (It looks like I may have Dad's corny sense of humor.)
