(1,464 grams or 3 lbs. 3.6 oz.)
Well it was another day on the upward swing. My blood and spinal fluid tests are still negative after 96 hours! (They keep checking for 7-10 days) I'm still battling pneumonia, but I seem to be doing ok and my brain-scan turned out great. However, the absolute highlight of my day had to be when I got to go skin-to-skin with Mom, sometimes called "Kangaroo-Care." They place my little bare body against Mom's bare chest. I just snuggled there and listened to her heart beat for almost an hour! I was so comfy, my heart rate slowed, my oxygen need went way down and my blood saturation was the best they've seen in a long time. Mom and Dad got a little choked up. They know that that's just the way things are supposed to be. Mom says that we're going to do that everyday, I can't wait.
